WHAT IS TELEHEALTH

Telehealth is a method of online healthcare. White Mountain Physical Therapy is pleased to provide physical therapy services via telehealth in conjunction with the doxy.me video platform. Telehealth is especially beneficial to patients who are unable to reach a traditional clinic due to time constraints, safety concerns, or lack of accessibility. If you are questioning if telehealth physical therapy is right for you, schedule a free 10 minute consultation either via doxy.me video chat or phone call.

FAQS

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

New Hampshire is a direct access state, meaning that a physician referral is not required to receive physical therapy treatment. In New Hampshire, if no improvement is observed in 25 days, you will be referred to a physician.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF CARE?

White Mountain Physical Therapy does not submit any insurance claims for your visits. Once you complete your treatment, you will receive a summary of your visits with billing codes. This documentation can be submitted to your insurance company to help them decide whether to reimburse your cost or apply the amount to your deductible.

WHAT CONDITIONS ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR TELEHEALTH?

Most injuries and conditions are conducive to online care, however there are some ailments that may require an in person visit with your provider. If you are wondering if telehealth is right for you, book a free 10 minute consultation to speak with us either via video or phone.

DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?

We are able to tailor treatments to fit individual needs, including equipment or lack thereof. Furniture, common household or office products, stairs, etc. can all be utilized in place of exercise equipment. We have links to some of our favorite equipment on our products page if you are looking to improve your home gym!
